Description
Hamilton-Veale eccentric viewing card eye test and therapy.
Macular degeneration is the most common cause of visual loss in the western world.
Although areas of the macula may be affected, often there is an island of good vision, off centre, preserved.
This area can be used if the eye is trained to fixate on this spot. This area is called the trained preferred central locus.
To find the island of better vision the Hamilton-Veale Eccentric Viewing Card should be used.
When this locus is found the Hamilton-Veale Eccentric Viewing Acetate sheet should be employed.
The Hamilton-Veale Eccentric Viewing Card and acetate sheets are supplied.
